After being thoroughly betrayed, Shian Bert returns and sets a goal to live his own life, while also seeking revenge against those who betrayed him. This goal, paired with his desire for revenge, is something readers can easily imagine and get immersed in.
Additionally, aside from the protagonist’s trained body, all his skills and abilities are inherited, including some “munchkin” elements, which means the development will likely be smooth and exciting without frustrating delays.
[Weak Points]
When I saw the protagonist aiming for the life he wanted, I thought the story would develop with him fully focusing on himself, taking on a villain-like role. However, the protagonist ends up helping characters who meet a miserable end or turning them into his allies, which I found a bit disappointing.
Also, there is a group called “Mist” that serves forgotten gods, and the protagonist is the inheritor of this forgotten god. Both before and after the return, the protagonist meets the leader of Mist, an academy teacher. However, this leader orders the protagonist to complete tasks or suggests fighting, which felt a bit off. It seemed strange that the leader of a group devoted to a god would disrespect the chosen inheritor, which slightly reduced my immersion in the story.

This academy-themed, return-to-the-past novel features a protagonist who was already one of the strongest before his return to the past. After returning, he gains “munchkin”-like abilities at a much younger age and combines these powers with his knowledge of the future to grow rapidly.
It’s a refreshing and fast-paced story in the “munchkin return” genre.
Especially since this version is a revised edition where the author has restructured the story with more interesting content, readers who enjoy this genre and style will definitely want to give it a try!
