Title: 명가의 역대급 재능천재로 환생했다

Translation:

■ Setting and Plot ■

In his past life, Agrik was abandoned by his mother, a war refugee, and became an orphan of war. Wandering battlefields his entire life, he fought to survive with a sword and eventually discovered his talent for wielding a magic core. Over time, Agrik became a battlefield hero, admired for his potential to become a Hexa Knight.

However, his life was cut short when he encountered a Hexa Knight of the Empire far too soon.

When he next opened his eyes, he found himself reborn as the youngest son of the noble Count Sogres family.

The youngest son of the Sogres family, it turns out, was a prodigy of unprecedented talent in all four major disciplines.

  • His father was a master spearman.
  • His mother was a legendary assassin.
  • His elder sister was a peerless mage.
  • His younger sister was a genius summoner.

On his first birthday, even the family’s treasured items reacted to him:

  • His father’s Dragon Tail spear.
  • His mother’s Nightthorn dagger.
  • His elder sister Arabella’s spatial pouch.
  • His younger sister Claire’s summoner’s mark.

At just one year old, he created a condensed magic orb that left his elder sister speechless. When Itz, a particularly sensitive summoned creature, ran to him and rubbed against him affectionately, even Claire was shocked.

At five, he could hide so stealthily that even his assassin mother couldn’t find him. At seven, he perfectly replicated his father’s One-Point Spearmanship, a skill that took the master spearman seven years to refine for practical use.

“Wait a moment… Did my son just manipulate mana?”
Not only had he gathered mana, but he had also flowed it into the spear and stopped it precisely at its tip.

“Did you just say you manipulated mana?”
“Yes, I made a magic core! Just one for now, though! Tee-hee!”

His parents soon realized his talents extended to assassination, magic, and summoning as well.

“…Could my son become a spear-magic-assassin-summoner?”

■ Personal Rating ■
★★★★☆ (7/10)

  • “Some plot holes and typos are pretty glaring.”
  • “A healing-themed academy novel with a multi-talented, overpowered protagonist.”

■ Personal Review ■

This story is entirely centered around academy life. From the first semester of the protagonist’s first year, through summer vacations, second semesters, festivals, art shows, and even the third year’s first semester, the novel spans over 600 chapters, with most events taking place within the academy.

The protagonist, who is absurdly talented in almost everything, secretly starts various businesses during his time at the academy, amassing wealth and becoming a darling of the emperor. He befriends the third prince on casual terms, goes on adventures with club members during vacations, and consistently achieves overwhelming success.

Protagonist’s Capabilities:

The protagonist excels at practically everything:

  • Spearmanship, magic, assassination, summoning, archery, necromancy, politics, and commerce.

Comedy and Reader Reception:

The novel often includes comedic moments derived from character interactions. However, reactions on KakaoPage indicate that some readers find the humor too childish.

Weak Points and Issues:

1. Lack of Plausibility in Key Events:

  • Despite a first-grade security breach leading to a major investigation by the royal family, including the prince himself, the academy suffers another breach shortly after. The intruders are caught but commit simultaneous suicide via poison, and the incident is quickly glossed over.
  • A low-ranking baron’s daughter dares to speak informally to the protagonist, the empire’s most promising talent and the youngest member of a Count family ranked among the empire’s six Hexa Knights. Despite meeting him in the palace at age 14, fully aware of his status, she continues to be disrespectful.
  • A prominent noble from the Tiren family gets lost in the Sogres estate during a birthday party and picks a fight with the protagonist. Considering that the Tiren family is nearly bankrupt and lacks accomplishments, the conflict feels forced and out of place.

2. Overpowered Protagonist and Implausible Abilities:

While it’s reasonable for the protagonist’s previous life as a skilled soldier to make him adept at swordsmanship and strategy, his proficiency in politics and commerce feels unnatural. Given his background as a war-torn orphan, it would make more sense for him to struggle with these areas.

3. Frequent Typos and Inconsistencies:

  • Chiron, a horse gifted by the royal family, is mistakenly described as crafting wooden artifacts, despite being a horse.
  • Layla’s hair color changes from rose to silver within a few pages.
  • The protagonist’s past life is described as having four magic cores at the time of his death, yet flashbacks depict him with three.
  • Despite the protagonist’s parents being part of a Count family, they’re inconsistently referred to as Duke and Duchess in some scenes.

Overall Tone and Style:

The novel incorporates slice-of-life elements like clubs, recruitment drives, festivals, and vacations, which can feel relaxing but may also slow the narrative.

However, the protagonist is portrayed as almost omnipotent, effortlessly solving every problem and earning admiration from everyone, from classmates and professors to the emperor himself.

If you prefer stories where the protagonist faces struggles and overcomes adversity, this might not be for you.

Final Thoughts:
Personally, I enjoy overpowered protagonists and found the humor appealing, so I’ve stuck with this series. However, the plot holes, typos, and lack of coherence in some villainous actions might polarize readers.
