Title: 내 스킬 레벨 1,541,461,513,235

■ Background & Synopsis ■

One day, people began to be regularly transported to the otherworld Ellid, a realm where magic and monsters coexist.

The protagonist, Kang Woo-bin, was a young breadwinner responsible for his mother and younger sister after his father’s absence. He became part of the third wave of individuals transferred to Ellid. Adapting to the game-like system of the world, Woo-bin gradually grew stronger, believing he would eventually return to Earth.

However, he was betrayed by his trusted comrades in the Saber Guild and gravely injured, only to be offered as a sacrifice in the Chronos Dungeon.

For reasons unknown, Woo-bin found himself cursed to reset to level 1 and lose all stats every time he died, reviving endlessly. In the dungeon, this endless cycle of brutal deaths became his “trial.”

Yet, thanks to his Infinite Mastery trait, which allowed him to level up a designated skill without limits, Woo-bin continuously increased the level of his basic “Fist Strike” skill. Despite dying countless times, he raised its damage output to an unimaginable 15 trillion before finally escaping the dungeon.

Upon emerging, Woo-bin resolves to exact revenge on those who betrayed him…

■ Personal Rating ■

★★★☆☆ (6/10)

  • “A straightforward OP One Punch Man isekai story.”
  • “Makes me wonder if even the author remembers the novel’s long title.”

■ Personal Review ■

This novel is essentially a One Punch Man in an isekai setting.

The protagonist, abandoned and betrayed in a time-altered dungeon, undergoes an unintended trial. In a space where time flows differently from the outside world, he dies infinitely and levels up his “Fist Strike” skill using his trait. Eventually, his punch reaches a staggering 15 trillion damage, allowing him to escape the dungeon.

The main plot revolves around Woo-bin quickly leveling up by defeating world bosses and systematically taking revenge on the founding members of the Saber Guild who betrayed him.

Structure:

  • Part 1: An isekai revenge story set in Ellid.
  • Part 2: A modern fantasy narrative after clearing Ellid and returning to Earth.

The novel stays true to its attention-grabbing title with a solid, engaging premise. As a winner of the “World’s Greatest Contest,” it delivered a reasonably entertaining experience for me.

That said, the revenge arc in Part 1 includes a particularly dark element:
Woo-bin captures his enemies in the Chronos Time Room, where he subjects them to infinite torture similar to what he endured. This results in many graphic and gruesome scenes, which readers should be mindful of.

Additionally, while the one-punch OP protagonist premise guarantees cathartic moments, it does introduce some “growing pains” in the early chapters. For example:

  • In Ellid, killing other players reduces one’s Good-Evil score, which brands the killer as a wanted criminal visible to all players.
  • To avoid becoming a target, Woo-bin initially restrains his urge for revenge, creating some frustrating moments for readers.

In conclusion, while it isn’t groundbreaking, it’s an entertaining power fantasy with strong revenge elements. Recommended for fans of the genre, but with caution regarding the darker scenes.
